Save 11
Car crashes kill more teens in America than drugs, alcohol or guns. Roughly 4,000 teens a year or 11 a day were dying behind the wheel. We knew the only way to change this deadly fact, was to change the law by introducing a Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) program for teens.
Instead of a national advertising campaign, we
focused all our communications on a very small
group of very powerful people: The United States
Congress. We surrounded them with print, digital,
direct and social media. Each touchpoint demanded
action immediately.
On July 6, 2012, President Obama signed a comprehensive teen safe driving bill into law. A law that’s estimated to help save over 2,000 teens a year.
The effort won a Gold Lion for media at Cannes.
